We are moving. The bipeds tell me I’ll love the new place. I’m really looking forward to seeing it and discovering new walks.
The bipeds are busy putting everything we have into cardboard boxes. We’ve been keeping the move a secret from the cats as they get nervous about change, but they know now so I’m helping to keep them as relaxed as possible.
I also need to keep a close eye on the bipeds. They have said that they don’t want to move any rubbish – they would prefer to throw it away before we move. Unfortunately, their idea of rubbish is somewhat different from mine. I’ve had to rescue a couple of things already.
One of those things was a half-eaten chew that I’d stowed underneath the sofa. Luckily, I noticed it in a pile of stuff that was destined to go into a rubbish sack. I rescued it and put it in the box with my other treasured possessions.
The male biped retrieved a favourite T-shirt from the same pile. The female biped said she despaired of us! She said that the T-shirt wasn’t fit to be seen as it’s discoloured and has little holes from the cats’ claws, but the male biped said it will be perfect to wear when he’s decorating.
She didn’t give a reason for trying to throw away my chew. As you’ve probably gathered, nothing is safe!
I’ll tell you all about the new place as soon as I can.
See you in a few weeks!
