This was the view from our garden a week or so ago. We’d had a few inches of snow, but it had quickly melted. Luckily, it lingered on the hills around us for a few days and the bipeds took me for a long walk to find the snow.
In the front garden, the bipeds were pleased to see signs that the Spring is on the way. The snowdrops are almost in bloom. There are patches of green leaves where the daffodils and tulips will bloom. I don’t find flowers particularly interesting. While the bipeds admire the flowers, I have a good sniff around at the interesting smells that visitors to the garden have left behind.
There’s a wonderful feature to our front garden that I haven’t told you about yet. I was amazed when I discovered that it was a surprise to the bipeds! I had, of course, noticed it immediately. I was having my breakfast one morning a couple of weeks after moving in, when I heard them talking about it and realised it had taken them a while to notice.
The male biped was looking out of the window and said, “Do you have to?”
The female biped asked him what he was talking about and he explained that another dog had just left a message on one of the posts at the end of the drive.
The female biped said, “It seems to be an important messaging point.”
They were then trying to work out why that post is important. It isn’t difficult to figure out, but bipeds don’t understand this sort of thing. There’s a lamppost on one corner of the road that stores messages and there’s a telegraph pole at the other end of the road. Our house is about halfway between them, making the post on our wall an obvious place to leave a message!
I find it really convenient. I can sniff the latest messages on my way out for a walk and on my way back in I have a quick sniff for any updates. I’m always up to date with the latest news in the village.
See you again soon!
the most interesting message point is the big vase the mama has next to our front door…. the smell is sometimes overwhelming… I love that… the mama… not so much hehe
If you put a big vase by the door, you’re inviting messages! ๐
If you walk places less often, there is so much news to read. Mom likes to not take the same route more than once a week, which means we have a lot of catching up to do on our walks.
That is very true. It’s always good to have lots of sniffing to do!
We don’t have a pee mail station near us, but my dog Dixie likes to read and respond to messages when we walk our neighborhood. I haven’t received your email notifications in a long time, I have signed up with a new email, I hope that works.
I’m glad Dixie keeps up with all the messages when you go out for a walk, it’s important.
I hope you’ll get the emails now.
Clowie, you and the bipeds have a beautiful view. I love snowdrops! You are very lucky to get the latest updates right there at your post.
It is a lovely view. We love this area!
Snowdrops are the female biped’s favourite flowers because they appear so early.
I think it’s amazing to get all the latest messages so easily!
Beautiful view. And for our wag, you can never have enough places to sniff. ๐
The bipeds really enjoy the view. I agree, I love sniffing!
Beautiful snowdrops and beautiful view of the fields with some snow! Glad you got to explore and do some sniffing Clowie. It sure sounds like you are in an ideal spot to keep up with what’s going on in your village with “messages” !! Tee Hee

Yes, we like our view and the female biped is pleased that snowdrops are so happy here.
I think it’s great to have so many messages so close!
I had never heard of snowdrops, how pretty! Oh and someone needs to teach your Dad about “pee mail” BOL
Maybe snowdrops won’t grow in your part of the world. We have never had a great deal of success with them till we moved here. The bulb is small and prone to drying out if the conditions are not just right.
I’ve been trying to educate him, but he still isn’t impressed that our post is so important in the messaging system of the village!
So great to have a convenient spot to check and leave messages. Mom takes me so many different ways, that I feel I may be only getting a fraction of the news in my complex. #whatsgoingon
Love and licks,

Well, if you’re missing the news in one spot, you’re sniffing out other news you wouldn’t have known about. You can always catch up when you go that way again – it just takes a little longer. ๐
I love snowdrops. They grew all along the riverside at our last house in France, a white river in themselves.
Our bunch have a wonderful message service, all along the country road in front of the finca. Out first thing to check on the overnight status…then again in the late afternoon…
That riverside sounds lovely!
It sounds as though your gang have an excellent messaging system. I always enjoy that early morning patrol of the boundaries.
Groan, how slow can they be?!! Glad you were able to enjoy the last of the snow.

It’s incredible, isn’t it? I sometimes think bipeds are from a different planet!
Now that’s what I call fast message service!

Yes, it’s very efficient!
It sounds like you are living in the perfect place, Clowie! Centrally located and a nice view to boot!
We enjoyed seeing those signs of spring, since we’re still a few weeks away from it here.
Yes, we like it here. We still have lots of exploring to do.
Neighborhood bulletin boards are super impawtant to us pups. We are constantly reading it.

We have to keep up with all the news.
Peemail is always so interesting, isn’t it? ๐ I envy your signs of spring, Clowie! We’re having a more brutal winter than usual with lots of snow. Ick. Enjoy your explorations!

Yes, it’s good to keep up with all the local news.
I think I’d enjoy your winter. I don’t think we get enough snow, but the bipeds say that a little now and then is quite enough!
I agree with your bipeds! ๐ I can imagine you would love it here, though.
Yes, I love snow. I’d be playing in it all day!
LOL, I’m sure there are lot’s of messages deposited on your pawrents post. Glad you enjoy them. I guess this post was January, so you’re no doubt well into spring ๐ We’re very behind this year. In fact, this week it’s pretty cold again. No flowers here, thanks every so much for sharing yours xo Boom
It’s quite a strange Spring this year. It was lovely and warm last weekend, but it’s snowing again today! It’s very late for us to see snow, but it’s supposed to be warmer again tomorrow.
The snowdrops have all gone now, but there are lots of daffodils. The buds are beginning to open on the trees. The ducks and the swans are nesting, so I feel sorry for them sitting on their eggs in this weather!
It must be a lot of work checking all that p-mail that turns up on your front post.
It is but it’s enjoyable work! It’s also very convenient to pick up my messages on the way out with just a quick check for updates needed when I get back. Of course, the bipeds don’t always find it amusing when I’m reluctant to leave our gate post!
