My calendar

I’d like to thank Animalcouriers for the lovely calendar I received for taking part in their fun quiz. If you don’t already know Animalcouriers, I’m sure you’ll enjoy a visit to their site. You’ll find lots of photos of the animals they transport and the places they visit on their travels.

Animalcouriers calendar 2016

My very own calendar for 2016

My bipeds said the calendar is perfect for me to keep track of my appointments. The very first thing I did was to pencil in a walk each day for the next month or two. My bipeds said that wasn’t quite what they meant. They said I always get at least one walk a day, so there isn’t much chance of forgetting. But I know they’re busy at the moment, so I don’t think there’s any harm in reminding them of the important things in life.

The bipeds are looking for a new home for us all. They keep poring over maps and house details on the computer. Then they go out to look at what they’ve found that may suit us. I think I would be a great help in sniffing out the best place for us, but the bipeds say it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to accompany them to look at a house. I stay at home and look after the cats for them.

I thought they were going to find somewhere quite quickly, but they weren’t pleased with the first places they looked at. Now they’ve expanded the search area, so it could take them a while! I’m not worried because they’ve told me that we’ll have more space and there will be better walks from the doorstep. I’m glad to know that they have their priorities straight and are giving lots of thought to my walks!

I’ll update you when I can!

  1. I hope they find the perfect house for them and for you. Beautiful places to walk and some streams and easy for you to watch over. Good luck.

For some reason I haven’t gotten any of you posts since New Year. Trying to find out why:)

    • Thank you, I’m sure they will find somewhere nice for us.

I have been very remiss and not posted since New Year because the bipeds have been so busy.

  2. Good luck to your bipeds on the new home search…..I’m sure wherever it is you will be super happy there – just think – lots of new territory to discover!!!!

    Love, Sammy

    • Thank you, Sammy. Yes, I’ll love exploring. We’re keeping it a secret from the cats at the moment – for some reason they start freaking out when they hear words like “new”, “moving”, “packing”!

  3. Delighted you like your calendar Clowie and relieved to hear you are using it for the purpose we intended 😀 Good luck to the bipeds in finding just what you all want – it can take some time though.

  8. Animal Couriers seem to be a super bunch – if ever we move from Costa Rica I’ll be on to them first of all.

New house….that should be fun and I look forward to your reports on the new walks.

  9. My mom is a realtor and she knows first paw what a pain it is to look for a new house. We hope one pops onto the market that fits the bill and you can move soon. Good luck!

    • Thank you, Emma. It does get frustrating looking for a house. I’m keeping my paws crossed that it won’t take long to find the right one for us.

  10. We are in the middle of trying to sell our current home and buy a new one. We have found the one we want now, but I can surely attest to the fact that this is not an easy prospect…it has been very stressful and time consuming. We are still waiting now to finalize the details of selling our home; but hope to finally be moving next month! So good luck to your bipeds in their search…I hope it goes more smoothly for them than it has for us! 🙂

    • I hope you get those final details sorted out and can move soon.

It seems like such a waste of time when the bipeds visit a house to find it’s nothing like the details said, but the only way to find that out is to go. I’m keeping my paws crossed it won’t take them too long to find something.

      • I know exactly what you mean. When we were still looking at homes, it could be amazing how good a photograph could make a house look, and how far away from the photos the reality could be.

        • Yes, the photos can be quite creative! My bipeds went to visit a house with lovely views at the weekend, or so they thought. They still don’t know where the photos were taken from, but it definitely wasn’t the house they visited!

  11. Greetings Clowie!😺 That’s a Pawsome Calendar – I hope your humans find the Purrfect place fur you all – take care of them!

  14. They WILL find the perfect place, but sometimes perfect takes time. Not with dogs though, dogs are perfect. But finding the perfect house for the perfect dog is tough.

I was about ready to give up looking at houses, when we found ours. I’m sure the move will be wonderful and you’ll get lots of amazing walks and have some grand adventures to share.

    • Yes, everyone seems to find househunting stressful. There should be an easier way!

It will be very exciting discovering new walks.

  15. Oh what an exciting time for you all. Glad you hear that your needs are their number one priority – although knowing your bipeds I would have expected nothing less x

  17. How exciting Clowie! Just think, a new place to explore and make new friends. A place to have new adventures in. And we can’t wait to read about them here!! It sounds to us like your bipeds are loving parents who know how to find a home where all the family will be happy. And your job is so important. Watching over the kitty’s while they do this. Can’t wait to see your new home!! 😉 xoxo

    • You’re right, it’s always exciting to exlore and I love making new friends! The bipeds seem to have a clearer idea of the area they’d like to find a house in now. They’ve been talking about the type of walks that are available and it sounds great.

  18. Lovely calender Clowie 🙂 How exciting! Looking for a new house and more space! No wonder your bipeds are busy. I hope you find somewhere very soon and you can enjoy your new environment and all the extra space to exercise the bipeds in!

    • Thank you. It will be lovely to have new places to explore. I think I’ll have to take the bipeds out for lots of long walks!

  19. We miss you Clowie. I think you must be spending a lot of time cat sitting.

    • Thank you, I’ve missed being here. I’ve spent loads of time looking after the cats! I’m sure I could sniff out a new place for us all in half the time that it’s taking the bipeds!

      • My older sister taught me it isn’t polite to remind the humans of how inefficient they are (but yes, you would be much faster finding a house because you’d focus on the important things – good garden and near walking paths with interesting scents.)

        • Your sister is right and I do try to be patient with the bipeds. To the bipeds’ credit, they are considering the walks when they think a house could be interesting to us. But they look on maps to see what walks are available! I keep sniffing the map, but all it tells me is which biped handled it last. I’m really looking forward to trying new walks with the bipeds, they say that they will find somewhere with great walks for us.

  20. Hey Clowie girlfriend, haven’t seen you around for a bit, what’ happening? Hope you and the bipeds are all doin’ well and the kitties too of course, purrs, Savvy

    • Hi Savannah! Thank you for coming by to see me. I’m not getting much in the way of computer time because the bipeds are looking for a new place for us to live. I hope to have news about that soon!

  21. Congratulations on your wonderful Calendar from Animal Couriers! They do such great work for furry traveling guests. The whole house hunting thing really wears us down doesn’t it. It took up 3 years to find the house we live in now. Good luck to the bipeds for finding your next home where you can all live, ‘happily every after’ x B

    • Thank you, it’s lovely to see you. I think Animal Couriers look after their passengers very well.

The house hunting has been very tiring for the bipeds. They have found somewhere and it’s in the stages of all the legal stuff being done – which seems to be just as stressful for the bipeds as the hunting was. They have their fingers crossed and I have my paws crossed, but it should all be definite soon. I hope to be able to tell you all about it before long!
