I’d like to wish all my friends a wonderful 2016!
I hope you all enjoyed as many walks and treats as I did over the holidays.
Santa brought me the biggest chew in the world. The bipeds haven’t managed to get a decent photograph of me with it because we don’t have a wide-angle lens – that’s needed for the chew, not for me!
The chew was so long that I needed to turn my head to get through a doorway when carrying it, but I set my teeth to work and soon trimmed it down. It’s now much easier to carry. I think the cats are a little bit envious – they seem to like sniffing the chew. Mulberry even tried to nibble the end. That was hilarious, he didn’t have any chance of getting his teeth into it!
I’ll leave you with a photograph of me enjoying a much smaller chew so that you get an idea of how much fun I’m having.
Wishing you all the best for the year ahead.
See you again soon!
I hope you and your bipeds enjoy the new year!

Happy New Year Clowie, bipeds and pusskins! Is that a pic of the chew after you demonsterised it?
Please do pop over and enter our quiz – it’s really jolly easy (all the answers are in the last few blog posts) 😉

Thank you. Happy New Year to you!
The bipeds say it’s amazing how quickly my chew is vanishing, but they should know by now that it doesn’t take long if I set my mind to it! I think they hid another one like it – I hope they did.
A quiz sounds like fun – I’ll see you soon.
That must have been one BIG chewy, C. Wow! I hope it didn’t weigh down Santa’s sleigh too much. Have fun!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
The chew was bigger than you. But it isn’t now!
Chewies are good for our teeth so I’m sure you love your BIG and smaller chewies! I can tell you’re enjoying that one in the photo…….HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Love, Sammy

Happy New Year, Sammy! You’re right, a chew is a very enjoyable way to look after our teeth.
I’ll be over soon to see what I missed in your teaser yesterday.
Happy New Year! Enjoy your new chew!

Thank you, Emma. It’s fun to have such a large chew, but it’s shrinking!
Wow that must have been quite a chew bone but I can tell that you got the best of it. Evidently whatever you set your mind (or teeth to) you accomplish successfully. Go for it all 2016; may it be your and your bipeds best year ever!
Yes, it’s quite a chew! I set to work on it straightaway.
I hope you and your family all the best for 2016.
That sounds like a heavenly chew Clowie. We received just normal treats so I *allegedly* ended up helping myself to a pan of apple crumble off the stovetop. My person did say that she was impressed that “someone” got the foil lid off the pan, ate the contents, and did it all quickly and super quietly…without even knocking the pan down. I guess my cleverness, which she calls “longer legs” was what made her think it was me. We’re having a good start to our new year and hope you and your family are too!

It is a wonderful chew!
I don’t think you should get the blame just because you have longer legs. Some of those with shorter legs are very agile! Our cats can jump up to places that I can’t reach. And leaving it out on the top of the stove is a bit of an invitation really! I hope that the guilty party (obviously not you) enjoyed it.
One would think that anything left out where it could potentially be reached is on offer to whomever comes along, wouldn’t one?! The cake I had half of was particularly delicious — unfortunately I was caught in mid bite on that one — and I maintain that who particular food belongs to is a very arbitrary line and that one ought to test from time to time if that line has changed. Trust me Clowie, the people leave some good things just a bit above our eye level.

Indeed, one would think that anything left out is there for the one bright enough to spot it! It’s a shame you didn’t get to finish the cake.
I routinely run my nose along the edge of the worktop in the kitchen (I can do that with all four paws on the floor) to check for anything interesting. There never is – I think my bipeds are particularly mean in this respect!
I agree with you about testing from time to time. I test all the rules occasionally, just to make sure they still apply!
That sounds like an amazing gift! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year

I hope things start improving for you soon and that 2016 turns out better than you expect.
We wanted to jump in the screen to taste (chew) your chew. We can hear the crunching in 2016 and all the joy your bring wherever you go. Happy New Year to you and your terrific bipeds. Wags and hugs from us.

I wish we could see that huge chew toy, Clowie! Could one of your bipeds pop in to tell us how long it was? 😉
Wishing you a wonderful year filled with happy chewing and exploring!
jmmcdowell recently posted…Which Way To Go
My biped says the chew was about 3ft 6in long, or 1.1 metres if you prefer metric. I’ve trimmed it down to about 2ft long. I’ve slowed down now it’s easier to carry. I used to get chews this size all the time when I was teething, but now I only get them occasionally. The biped says that’s because I get bored with them and they end up throwing it away because it’s got too dirty! I say I want to savour the last part and they take it away as soon as it’s nicely matured. I guess we’ll never agree on that!
I wish you success with your goals this year!
Now that truly is a gigantic chew! That would be about 3 times the size of my childhood dog! I hope you’ll have the chance to enjoy all of this one before it gets too “ripe” for your bipeds. 🙂

hello dear friends and happy new year to you too. How nice that you got such an awesome treat at Christmas ! By now maybe you’ve whittled down your giant chew to an itzie-bitzie bit size chew? Our kitties got a cloth fish from Santa that had a feathery tail. Well not anymore :/ LOL xo B
Thank you. I kept a small piece of the chew, but I’m not sure where it is now!
I bet your kitties enjoyed that feathery tail while it lasted!
Belated Happy New Year Clowie! And that chew stick looks wonderful…share with wolfie ? lol 😉

I would share (even though you ate all the liver cake), but I can’t find the piece I was saving. Those pesky bipeds have probably thrown it away!
